As a part of our topic 'Movers and Shakers' Year 2 have been learning about activists both from the past and present. We have enjoyed learning all about Malala Yousafzai and reading her book 'Malala's Magic Pencil'. We then set the children the challenge of writing their own speech about something they were passionate about. This video shows just a few of the incredible speeches the children wrote. They performed them to their friends in other classes but we also felt we had to share some with parents and carers too. I was so proud to see the passion they all had especially those children who wrote about topics we have already learnt about this year such as plastic pollution and equality. Well Done Year 2!
