Arts Week 2026

This week children at WLS will be celebrating Arts Week.  The theme this year is Dreams, Goals and Aspirations.  Children will be learning about inspirational artists along side thinking about their own hopes and dreams for the furture.  The aim of this week is to foster a love of The Arts and hopefully inspire some future artists to follow their dreams!

January 2026

In January, our Bedford Road site had a very special visitor, a local Illustrator called Katie Allen.  Katie ran an exciting workshop for a group of KS2 children where they created artwork themed around people who inspire us.  The children selected words to descibe a chosen person and Katie showed them about experimental typogrphy - creating words in a range of differnt ways.  The children did a great job and we are very proud of them all.  Take a look at some of their fab work!
